Leather is durable and beautiful, but it stretches out over time. If this has happened to your boots, shrink them at home. Shrinking the leather can be tricky because the process can damage the leather if done incorrectly. Use as little water as possible and be sure to condition your boots regularly.

Treat your boots with leather protector according to package directions.

Wet your boots by putting them in a tub of water or spraying them with a spray bottle.

Remove them from the water and place them in the sun to dry.

Condition the leather to restore moisture to the fibers.
