Step 1
Step up a box for people to drop in how they celebrate Christmas. This needs to be in a spot that everyone can safely put a letter into that no one else will be able to see or take the contents.
-
Step 2
Ask the employees to drop a letter in how and what they celebrate. More or less this will be Christmas or Hanukah but if they celebrate it in other way let us know what their traditions are. Everyone in the office needs to complete a paper, this way no one will be singled out and they don’t have to share their religious belief with everyone if they don’t want to.
-
Step 3
Go through the forms and separate the ways to celebrate into piles. Each pile should contain same or similar ways to celebrate.
-
Step 4
Accommodate everyone’s religious beliefs into one party. If a person belief is there needs to be a Christmas tree, put up a small Christmas tree. If another person requires candles, put candles up as well. Take one element form each person and put them all together.
-
Step 5
Come up with your own name for the party. The key here is not to offend anyone which is a hard line to walk. Pick a name that doesn’t lean toward any one religion. Some party name suggestions: December Party, Holiday Celebrations, Holiday Party, Winter Celebration.
