Drink More Water Through the Day

Most people know that they need to be drinking more water. Experts tell that we should have at least 8 cups a day. The problem is, 8 cups is kind of hard to drink. That is a lot of liquid. People get busy through out the day and forget or just don’t want to take the time, but it is very important to hydrate your body well. Your body will function better and your health will be better. Here are some tips to help you drink more water through the day.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • water
  1. Step 1

    Drink water with meals.

Skip the pop! It’s bad for you. Drink water with your meals instead. This will give you at least 3 of the cups that you need right there.

  2. Step 2

    Take water with you.

If you are going out, grab a bottle of water to take with you. A lot of places do not have water fountains, so there is no guarantee that you will have water available to you. Take the water with you so you know it will be available.

  3. Step 3

    If you expel water, refill.

If you have just got done sweating or going to the bathroom, then take a moment to get a drink of water to re-hydrate yourself.

  4. Step 4

Have water beside you if you are watching tv.

Many people mindlessly eat and drink while watching tv. Instead of grabbing a pop, grab water and sip on it throughout the show.

  5. Step 5

    Keep track of water intake.

Keep a journal of how many cups of water you are drinking so you know for sure. It may be less than you think, and that is not healthy.

  6. Step 6

Add a twist of lemon or lime.

Some people do not like plain water. Add a small squeeze of lemon or lime to make a refreshing drink.
