Things You'll Need
- Insect repellent
- Cotton swabs
- Clean cloth
- Non-acetone nail polish remover
- Cotton balls
- Dry erase marker
- Wet cloth
- WD-40, sunscreen or hairspray
- Leather furniture cleaner

Test the products you are using on an inconspicuous area of the leather furniture before applying to the stain. Some products may discolor the actual leather so it is important to note how the product will affect the leather prior to applying it to a larger, more noticeable area.

Spray insect repellent onto a cotton swab. Dab the insect repellent onto the marker stain. Avoid rubbing the stain or it may spread to clean areas of the leather. Allow the product to sit on the stain for about 15 seconds.

Wipe the stain with a clean cloth. Do this carefully so that the marker is not spread to other areas.

Apply non-acetone nail polish remover to a cotton ball and dab on the stain for an alternative method of removing the marker. Wipe the acetone and marker away with a clean cloth.
