How to Make Your Own MySpace Music Player

MySpace usually enables its users to attach one song to their page in a default media player. But this feature has become nearly obsolete since there are ways to make your own personalized MySpace music player. You can choose the appearance of the player and add as many songs to the player's playlist as you desire. There's no need to search MySpace for that one particular song. You can upload the song from your own collection with a personalized MySpace music player.

Tips & Warnings

  • Keep everything organized when uploading files and creating a music player. Copy and paste your uploaded MP3 files' new URL addresses to a word processing or notepad application. Saving the URL addresses can also be beneficial for future use. Label each URL according to the song's title and artist. This will help you avoid confusion when placing the songs in the media player. Nothing's worse than putting the wrong artist and title with a song. It's bad for you and confusing for those who view your MySpace page.

  • For a visual example of how your added tracks' information should look, click on the MixPod Help link in References.

  • All music files must be uploaded. If there is no URL address for the song, you will not be able to transfer it to the media player.

  • The MP3 format is the only song format accepted for the music player. Make sure the songs you upload to the hosting site are in MP3 format. While other formats may appear to upload successfully, no sound will be transmitted when the MySpace music player is added to your page.

  • When you log into your MySpace account, be advised that the customize profile option is only available for MySpace 2.0 pages, which are usually personal MySpace pages.
