How to Glue in a Dental Bridge

Many people have expensive dental work including dental bridges. These bridges are usually used to replace teeth lost due to decay or injury. Bridges are usually attached to existing teeth and can create an attractive smile. Since bridges are attached to other teeth, there is always to possibility of breakage or slippage. Over-the-counter dental cement can provide a temporary fix for the loss of bridge attachment. This cement will keep the bridge in place until you can see your dentist for a permanent fix.

Things You'll Need

• Tooth brush
• Dental cement
• Gauze
• Paper towel

Instructions

1. Call your dentist and make an emergency appointment to have your bridge reattached if it slips from your mouth. If you can't reach him, or it will be awhile before you can be seen, you can take steps to temporarily reattach the bridge yourself.

2. Brush your teeth gently using a soft toothbrush and water. Be sure to remove any adhesive residue. Your clean teeth and gums will provide a suitable surface for attaching the bridge.
