How to Beat the Challenges on God of War 2

Kratos's war against Zeus and the rest of the gods is far from over at the end of God of War 2. Once you have completed the main game, you'll unlock the Challenge of the Titans. This collection of seven challenges will test Kratos and the player controlling him. Finishing the challenges will unlock two urns that extend the length of Kratos's combos and also gives him access to Poseidon's Rage, a magic attack from the first game in the series.

Instructions

1. Upgrade the Sword of Olympus and Cronos' Rage to their highest level. You will need to use the Sword of Olympus to quickly take out your enemies while Cronos' Rage can attack and kill several enemies at once. Both are valuable during the challenges.

2. Complete the first challenge, Blind Fury, by killing the cyclops and removing his eye. Do this by attacking with your Sword of Olympus until prompted to input a random button sequence to remove his eye. This challenge can be completed in under 30 seconds.

3. Retreat from the Juggernaut during the second challenge while pressing L1 and X to launch your enemies into the air. Continue to attack your enemies when they are airborne to complete the challenge. Do not kill any enemies with their instant kills, as these can not be done in the air.

4. Perform a grab on the Gorgons in the third challenge. When they counter with a stare, block the attack to reverse their power, turning the creatures to stone. Kill 35 of them to reach the highest ranking.

5. Move the translator as the protective circle moves during the fourth challenge. Your goal is to keep him alive, and if he falls outside of the circle his health will fade. Stay close and use Cronos' Rage to defeat the enemies that attack.

6. Equip the Blade of Olympus and press L1 and Circle to drain orbs out of your foes during the fifth challenge. This will fulfill the challenge requirements and give you the top ranking.

7. Move around the arena during the sixth challenge. Execute your enemies with Cronos' Rage and instant kills. Your health will continuously drain, so keep moving to prevent damage from your enemies.

8. Defeat the first wave of foes so that only a Cursed Remains and the Minotaur are surviving. Defeat the Minotaur first to prevent another wave of enemies from spawning. Once the Minotaur has been defeated, hit the Cursed Remains to spawn High Priests and Beast Lords, which can be defeated by using your Cronos' Rage attack.

Tips & Warnings

• It is more important to complete each challenge than to get the highest ranking. Once you've successfully finished one challenge, move on to the next.
