How to Wrap a Foot for Ball Pain
Pain in the ball of the foot can be eased with the use of a bandage wrap. The slight pressure applied by an elastic bandage can help reduce swelling and restrict movement of potentially injured bones.
Instructions

1
Obtain a three-inch-wide bandage for smaller feet, or a four-inch-wide bandage for larger feet.
-
2
If bandage is unrolled, roll it into a tight cylinder.
-
-
3
Place the tip of the bandage flat against the side of the foot parallel to the bones leading to the big toe. One corner of the bandage should be placed where the big toe meets the ball of the foot.
-
4
Without stretching the bandage, wrap it over the top of the foot, covering only the smallest toe.
-
5
Wrap the bandage around the foot three times, moving slightly toward the ankle with each wrap. Ensure that the bandage lays flat on the skin with no wrinkles or folds and that it is not too loose or stretched too tightly.
-
6
Wrap the bandage around the lower ankle once and then across the bottom of the foot again.
-
7
Repeat Step 6 until the bandage is entirely wrapped around the foot.
-
8
If clips were included with the bandage, use them to hold the end of the bandage in place.
-
9
Place gauze tape across the end of the bandage to hold it in place.
