How to Get an MSN Password Without a Secret Question

MSN along with Hotmail is a trademark of Microsoft and is used to browse the Web, send email and instant message. In order to be able to use these services, a user must first create a free Windows Live account. Although you may choose a secret question during the sign up process, it's possible to choose a password without one. Doing this takes little time and you will be able to choose any MSN password you want.

      Go to the Windows Live homepage (See Resources.) Click the blue link that says "Forgot Your Password?"

      Enter your Windows Live ID and the character code into the spaces provided. Click "Continue." Make sure you type in your full ID followed by "Hotmail.com."

      Select "Send password reset instructions to me in e-mail." Click "Continue" then "OK" on the next page.

      Go back to the Windows Live homepage and log into your account. Open the email sent by Windows Live and click the link.

      Enter your Windows Live ID and your new password. Click "Continue." Choose to add an alternate email address and click "Continue" or click "Skip" to bypass this option.

  • Choose a password that consists of both numbers and letters.
