How to Install Age of Empires Napoleonic Era

Age of Empires is an epic real-time strategy game covering thousands of years. Players are charged with guiding a small stone age tribe, and ensuring their survival and domination over the years."Age of Empires III: Napoleonic Era" is a beta file expansion meant to alert the developers of game problems in advance of its anticipated release. In exchange, free game play is offered with the addition of three of the nine new civilizations: The Prussians, Swedes and Italians. There are drawbacks however, as the multiplayer, campaign and editor modes are disabled with this demo.

  Ensure you have sufficient memory not just for installation but for game play as well. You will need space to save games and should free a few hundred megabytes if necessary for this.

  Go to Age of Empires File Front website.See references for the link. The appearance is a bit cluttered and may appear disjointed. What you are looking for is above the posted comments and in the center of much advertisement. Do not go to the Age of Empires site and attempt to follow the links to the download as it is in error and will take you to Age of Empires Heaven.

  Select the "Click here to Download this File" link at the bottom right. A U.S. flag is adjacent to the link. Do not use it if your copy of the game was not purchased in the United States. The download link will take you to another, for which you must again select the Download Now file.

  When prompted, select the appropriate file to install your game. By default, it selects the C drive, but if you've installed and saved games elsewhere, select the appropriate place.

  Installation is automated and when complete, will prompt you for game play. Later, if you no longer wish to have the beta installed, reversing it is easy and should not affect previously installed versions.
