How to Get Rid of Mold & Mildew from the Toilet Bowl

You might have noticed little specs of mold and/or mildew on the inside of your toilet bowl. Scrubbing these areas of your toilet bowl will temporarily remove the mold and mildew, but they will eventually return. In order to permanently get rid of mold and mildew located in your toilet bowl, you will need to eradicate the infestations. Mold and mildew can be killed using a common household item.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Fill your spray bottle with distilled white vinegar.

  2. Step 2

    Spray the areas of toilet bowl covered with mold and mildew.

  3. Step 3

    Scrub the toilet bowl with a clean toilet brush.

  4. Step 4

    Allow the distilled white vinegar to remain on the toilet bowl for an hour.

  5. Step 5

    Rinse the distilled white vinegar from the toilet bowl. This can be done by flushing the toilet bowl or pouring water onto that area of the toilet bowl.

  6. Step 6

    Pour 3 to 4 cups of distilled white vinegar inside the toilet bowl.

  7. Step 7

    Let the white vinegar sit inside of the toilet bowl for an hour.

  8. Step 8

    Flush the toilet bowl.
