How to Export Outlook Contacts to Blackberry

All new Blackberry mobile devices come with the Blackberry Desktop Manager software that can be installed on PC computers running WIndows XP or later. With Blackberry Desktop Manager, Blackberry owners can synchronize their device with different data from their computer, including contact information from their Outlook address book. In order to sync your Blackberry with a PC, you must use the USB cable that came with your device.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • PC running Windows XP or later
  • Microsoft Outlook 2003 or later
  • Blackberry device
  • Blackberry USB cable
  1. Step 1

    Install the Blackberry Desktop Manager software on your PC computer.

  2. Step 2

    Connect your Blackberry to your computer using the Blackberry USB cable.

  3. Step 3

    Launch the Blackberry Desktop Manager application and double-click the "Synchronize" icon.

  4. Step 4

    Go to the "Configuration" tab at the top of the pop-up window and click the "Configure synch" button.

  5. Step 5

    Check the box next to "Address Book" to enable contact synchronization with your Outlook data.

  6. Step 6

    Click "OK" to save the synchronization settings.

  7. Step 7

    Go to the "Synchronize" tab at the top of the pop-up window and click on the "Synchronize Now" button. Contact data from Outlook will now be transferred to your Blackberry's address book.
