How to Put Ribbon Around Cube Vase
Vases are a great decorative item. All styles of décor can benefit from a vase full of fresh or satin flowers. Most vases are made from glass or plastic. To add extra flair to the vase, you can tie a satin ribbon around it. However, there is a trick to getting the ribbon to stay when you are tying it.

1
Cut a piece of ½-inch ribbon 1 ½ feet long using sharp scissors. Cut the ribbon at a 45-degree angle. Cut a 1 ½-foot-long piece of ¼-inch ribbon.
-
2
Fold the ½-inch ribbon in half to find the center. Place the center of the ribbon on the back side of the vase at the height you want the ribbon to be placed. Put a drop of hot glue on the back of the ribbon at center point. Press the ribbon to the vase. Make sure the ribbon is straight before the glue dries. Take the left side of the ribbon and pull it straight out to the left. The vase is cubed, so the back edge is flat. Apply a drop of glue to the edge of the vase and press the ribbon onto it. Do the same for the right side.

Fold the ¼-inch ribbon in half to find center point. Use a hot glue gun to apply a drop of glue to the center of the ½-inch ribbon on the vase. Make sure it's a small drop or it will ooze from under the edges of the ribbon. Press the backside of the ¼-inch ribbon onto the drop of glue. Pull the ¼-inch ribbon straight out to the left, apply glue to the edge of the vase and press. Do the same for the right side.

4
Grasp the two ribbons on the left side and pull them straight forward. Put a drop of glue ½-inch in from both edges of the left side of the vase and one in the center. Make sure the ½-inch ribbon is straight, and press it onto the three glue spots. Put three drops of glue onto the ½-inch ribbon, and lay the ¼-inch ribbon on top of the glue; press into place. Do the same for the right side of the vase.

5
Pull the ribbons over the left edge onto the front of the vase. Place a drop of glue ½-inch in from the front left edge, and lay the ½-inch ribbon on it. Add another drop of glue onto the ½-inch ribbon and lay the ¼-inch ribbon on it. Press into place. Do the same for the right side. Do not glue the ribbons all the way across the front, only ½-inch in from each edge.

6
Grasp both ribbons on each side and tie them together in a bow. Apply one drop of glue directly onto the vase in the center of the front edge. Press the backside of the bow onto the drop of glue.
