How to Repair a Hole in Ceramic Tile
Holes in ceramic tiles can result from installing or mounting brackets on a bathroom wall, such as those for a towel rack. Installing or mounting a bracket on the ceramic tile typically involves drilling a hole in the tile for the screws. If you decide to remove the mounts from the wall there will be holes left in the tile. Mix up a small amount of auto body filler that will be used to fill the hole. Auto body filler can come in a premixed container or you will need to mix hardener to the filler material.

Apply a small amount of auto body filler to the holes in the ceramic tile using a putty knife. Press the material into the holes so they are completely covered.

Let the filler material harden for a few minutes or until it feels like rubber.

Scrape the excess filler material off with a razor blade or the putty knife.

Sand the filler material smooth using sandpaper.

Wipe the tile clean and dry with a paper towel or cloth.

Tips & Warnings
Wet or damp sandpaper will make sanding the filler material easier.
Use a touch-up kit for porcelain to mix various colors of paint to match the ceramic tile and use it to cover up the filler material.
Silicone caulk can also be used to fill holes in ceramic tiles.
Auto body filler is difficult to remove when it hardens and typically needs to be sanded.
