How to Move an FLV Video File to iTunes

You can download FLV video files from either a peer-to-peer service or directly from a video-hosting website by using a video conversion program. View FLV files using video software. Unfortunately, FLV files are not compatible with iTunes. To move FLV video files to iTunes, you'll need to convert the video file to the proper format.

1. Open the Media Converter homepage. Select "upload a file" on the left side of the website. A "Browse" tab will appear. Click the "Browse" tab to open the upload window.

2. Find the FLV video file you want to move to iTunes. Highlight this file and click "Open." Click the "OK" button underneath the "Browse" tab to see more options.

3. Choose "Go to the next step." A drop-box will be displayed. Click the drop-box, choose "MOV" and click "OK." Two more buttons will appear.

4. Select the "Start" button and a download link will show up at the bottom of the webpage. Click the download link to save the converted FLV video file to your computer.

5. Open iTunes. Click on the "File" menu in iTunes. Choose "Add File to Library." A window will appear.

6. Navigate to the folder where you saved the MOV file. Highlight the file, select "Open" and the converted FLV file will be added to iTunes.
