How to Convert a Nokia Multimedia Player File to MOV
Nokia Multimedia Player can play various formats of videos that you can record and use from your Nokia cellphone. If you want to watch a video in a format that works on cellphones. such as the 3GP format, but on a regular video player, you need to convert it first. If you convert the file to something more compatible such as MOV, you should be able to watch it on a much wider range of players.

Download a conversion program. Format Factory and Xilisoft are two examples of ones you can download for free; click on either of the links in Resources.

Click "Download Now" on the main website and then click on "Save As" to begin the download. Right-click on the installation file when it's finished downloading and select "Open." Follow the instructions through the installation process.

Open the program. In Format Factory, select the "All to MOV" button. In a program like Xilisoft, you can also select the MOV format by clicking on a dropdown menu marked "Profiles." It may be marked "Output Format" in other converters.

Click on "Add file" and then locate your Nokia video file in the browse window that appears. Double-click on it. Click the "Convert" button on the main screen. In a program like Format Factory, the button is a big red circle. You'll always be able to tell by hanging your cursor over the button to see if it reads "Convert."
