    Purchase a high quality journal appropriate in style for the person to whom you will give the cook book. Take your time to find exactly the right style of journal.

    Put together of your favorite family recipes and memories you want to include in your cook book. Take your time and write each recipe with a personal tip or message on separate pages in the book. Make copies from your own cook books if you have a lot of recipes to add to the journal.
