Step 1
DedicationPurchase a high quality journal appropriate in style for the person to whom you will give the cook book. Take your time to find exactly the right style of journal.

Handwritten Description of the BookPut together of your favorite family recipes and memories you want to include in your cook book. Take your time and write each recipe with a personal tip or message on separate pages in the book. Make copies from your own cook books if you have a lot of recipes to add to the journal.

Step 3
Copies of Favorite RecipesHave close relatives such as your mother, sisters, brothers, daughters, cousins, or other friends special to the person you are making the book for add their own favorite recipes and tips to the book in their own handwriting.
Make sure each contributor signs their name and dates the book. Add a picture of each person who contributes to the cook book. -
Step 4
Write as many recipes as you can in the book but leave room for others to add to the cook book in future years. You have a personalized cook book that will make a special gift for your recipient.
