How to Convert WMV File Format to AVI with Windows Movie Maker

You can convert a Video TS (VTS) file format to Audio Video Interleave, or AVI, using either the RER Video Converter or iSkysoft Video Converter programs. Video TS (VTS) is a common video file format used in DVDs.

If you play a DVD on your computer, when you open the DVD movie, you should notice a file folder called "Video TS." It is this folder that contains the video portion of your movie. You can also see other video formats such as IFO and VOB. You can also use any other video converter as long as it supports Video TS files and can output in AVI. This tutorial will show you how to convert Video TS files to AVI.

1. You will need to purchase one of the video converters. iSkySoft is a program you can purchase for $35. The RER Video Converter can be purchased for a slightly smaller price of $27. You can also use any other video converter as long as it supports Video TS files and can output in AVI. For this tutorial, we will use ISkysoft. The program can be downloaded from http://www.iskysoft.com.

2. After downloading and installing the program, you can start it by selecting the program from the Start menu found at the bottom-left corner of the desktop. Once the program is open, you will need to change the conversion type. This may vary depending on the type of conversion program you are using.
   *In ISkysoft, select the dropdown menu found beside the Convert To button. This can be found near the bottom of the window. Select Common Video and then click AVI.
   *If you are using the RER Video Converter (download.cnet.com/RER-Video-Converter/3000-2194_4-10555513.html), you will need to click the tab labeled To AVI. After that, you will need to find the Convert To button.

3. Now you need to click the Add button on ISkysoft. If you are using the RER Video Converter, you will need to click the Browse tab. After doing that, you will need to select the Video TS file and click the Open button. If you want to convert more than one file at a time, simply repeat this step.

4. You are now ready to convert your Video TS files to the AVI format. If you are using the ISkysoft Video Converter, hit the Start button. If you are the RER Video Converter, hit the Convert tab. You should have successfully converted your Video TS file to the AVI format.
