How to Make Home style Pumpkin soup

With the holidays upon us everyone wants to know what to do with all those left over pumpkins that they have from Halloween.
Here is a receipt that will warm your bones and give
you something to do with those pumpkins.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • chicken broth cans pumpkin onion clove garlic whipping cream thyme Fresh parsley pepper salt fresh pumpkin
  1. Step 1

    6 c. chicken broth
    2 (16 oz.) cans solid-pack
    pumpkin
    1 c. onion, thinly sliced
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. whipping cream, warmed
    1 lg. fresh pumpkin, hollowed out
    (optional)
    Fresh parsley (optional)

  2. Step 2

    In a large pot, place all the ingredients in and heat.
    except the cream. set the cream aside for later use.
    Bring to ingredient's to a boil then Reduce heat and simmer,
    uncovered 20 minutes.

  3. Step 3

    Stir the warm cream into the soup. Mix well.
    For an extra nice look you can Garnish with parsley.

  4. Step 4

    For a added special treat you can serve it from a hollowed-out
    pumpkin which you can warm for 20 minutes in 350
    degree oven.
    This will add the extra Home style touches.
