Reduce The Occurance Of Sinus Inflammation And Infections

I suffer from sinus inflammation and infections all the time and it’s really hard to pin point where or what the cause of my outbreaks are, I know for a fact that it has something to do with an allergen that causes the inside of my nasal passages to be highly allergic too, but trying to find out what causes it is a nightmare. What I’ve come to learn is that instead of trying to find the root of the cause, treating it with simple changes in my life really help me with my sinus infections.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    CLEAN YOUR NOSE

The inside of your mucus membranes are like fly paper trapping anything that comes along it’s path, it’s the inflammation of these mucus membranes that act as the catalyst to sinus infections and stuffy noses. I have device called a Netti pot that helps me clean my nose and keep the inflammation at bay. A Netti pot is nothing more than a small teapot with a solution of salt and water. You stick the spout in your nose and allow the water to run through to the other side, sounds nasty but trust me it will work wonders for your mucus membranes.

  2. Step 2

CLEANING THE AIR IN YOUR BEDROOM

When you sleep your immune system recharges itself. If the air in your room is dusty then your body spends the whole night stressed out trying to deal with all the dust you are breathing in. I’ve found that by simply buying a good quality hepa air filter and putting it in my room, I’ve reduced the amount of times I’ve woken up with a headache, stuffy nose or a sinus infection.

  3. Step 3

    BREATH STEAM

I’ve found that buying a cheap 20 dollar humidifier and a few drops of eucalyptus oil then breathing that in really helps with sinus drainage and the ability to breath more clearly. If your sinuses are giving you a lot of problems do steps 1 and 2 then incorporate step 3 before you go to bed.

  4. Step 4

    CONSULT PROFESSIONAL HELP

If all the above steps don’t work this might be a sign that something else is majorly wrong you might need antibiotics or surgery to correct your sinus inflammation issues. Consult a doctor and tell him or her all that you’ve done.
