If you are experiencing numbness in your fingers, toes or other extremities, then you may have an issue with your nerve endings or with circulation. While this is something that you should definitely consult a physician for, there are a number of herbal treatments that you can use to try and alleviate the symptoms naturally.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Ginkgo biloba extract
  • Chicken broth
  • Cayenne
  • Garlic
  • Ginger
  • Thyme
  • Rosemary
  • Sage
  1. Step 1

Take ginkgo biloba extract twice a day while symptoms persist. Ginkgo biloba is not only a good immune booster, but it also can improve circulation and is thought to have cardiovascular benefits. Consult your physician, as some recommend that you take this extract all the time, and it can interact with prescription medications.

  2. Step 2

Make a soup of cayenne, garlic and ginger. Pour four cups of chicken broth into a pot and bring to a covered boil along with two tablespoons of each herb. Keep the pot covered, and simmer the broth for 30 minutes. You will have a spicy blend when you are done. You can drink this broth straight or strain out the herbs and just drink the broth without all the "lumps."

  3. Step 3

Use thyme, rosemary and sage in your daily diet. These seasoning herbs should be used in any dish that will accept them. They can be part of broths or soups as well as sauces.

Tips & Warnings
  • Regular stretching and sleeping on a firm mattress can also help prevent numbness.
  • Consult a physician if numbness persists. It can be a sign of serious health problems as well as an inconvenience.
