How to Get Rid of Ear Pressure
Ear pressure is sometimes, but not always, a result of an ear infection. Ear pressure happens when there is an obstruction of the Eustachian tube (usually due to inflamation), causing unequal pressure in the ear. This can be painful. There are several home remedies to relieve ear pressure, including garlic, onions, and cinnamon oil. There are several ways for using onions and treating ear pressure. Hot onion juice, cool onion juice, and a raw onion against the ear can help with ear pressure.
Things You'll Need
- Onion still covered with skin
- Oven or toaster oven
- Bowl
- Knife
- Strainer
- Small container
- Eye Dropper

Warm Onion Juice

Heat oven or toaster oven to 350 degrees

Put the onion in the oven still covered in skin until the onion is warm, about ten minutes.

Cut a chunk of the onion off and peel away the skin.

Use the end of the knife to crush up the onion and pour the mashed onion and juice over a strainer into a small container.

Use the eye dropper to pick up the juice.

Tilting the head to the side, drop 3 to 4 drops of juice into the ear and hold in place for one minute.

Tips & Warnings
Cold liquids in the ear cause the pain to get worse. Cold onion juice is not recommended for ear pressure.
