How to Use Scotts Weed & Feed

Apply Scotts Bonus S Southern Weed and Feed to fledgling and mature lawns to enhance the growth of grass and minimize the potential for weeds. Weed and Feed is a combination fertilizer and weed-control product (from the makers of Miracle-Gro) that you can distribute over your existing lawn in a nonevasive manner. The fertilizer component adds minerals, nutrients and moist absorbency to the top soil, while the weed control kills existing weeds and prevents future infestation of 24 common weed species.

Things You'll Need

• Rake
• Spreader
• Shovel
• Scotts Weed and Feed

Instructions

1. Rake the lawn clear of rocks and organic debris using a flexible, metal rake.

2. Fill the fertilizer spreader with the Weed and Feed product, using a spade gardening shovel.

3. Sprinkle the Weed and Feed fertilizer over the lawn with the spreader. Push the spreader at a slow walking pace with the spray gate wide open to provide a dense, even sprinkling over the lawn.

4. Apply the Weed and Feed product as needed to the lawn in regular intervals. Lawns with bare patches or severe weed infestation should receive extra attention.
