How to Use a Foodsaver Sealer
The FoodSaver Sealer is a vacuum packaging system. FoodSaver's website says the product will help keep food fresher longer whether it is in the refrigerator, pantry or freezer. It removes air much more efficiently and completely than just sealing the bag. Most FoodSaver sealers are similar, but there are different models. The following instructions are for the FoodSaver V3800 Series. Does this Spark an idea?

Sealing the Bag
-
1
Put the food you are planning to seal into a vacuum sealing system bag. You can buy these bags or make them (see Section 2).
-
2
Leave at least three inches between the top of the food and the top of the bag.
-
-
3
Put the open end of the bag into the vacuum channel. The vacuum channel is the opening at the bottom of the front of the FoodSaver Sealer. Use both hands to put the end of the bag in the channel.
-
4
Push the open end of the bag far enough into the vacuum channel to start the motor. It will start automatically and the vacuum meter lights, on top of the machine, will light up.
-
5
Let go of the bag once the vacuum pump starts. You will be able to hear when the vacuum pump starts.
-
6
Remove the bag once the seal light on the display turns off.
