Instructions

    • 1

Eat something sour or tart. The fastest, simplest way to ease nausea upset is with something very sour or tart. Sucking on a lemon wedge may ease your nausea. Other sour remedies to try: sour candies, sour pickles and lemonade.

    • 2

Drink ginger in either tea or soda form. Ginger is one of the most ancient cures for an upset stomach. According to the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, part of the National Institutes of Health, ginger extract can be found in digestive and antinausea dietary supplements in the U.S.

If you try ginger ale, drink it flat -- the carbonation in fresh ginger ale soda will only further upset your stomach. Or make ginger tea from thinly sliced raw ginger steeped in hot water for about 10 to 15 minutes. Ginger tea may also help re-hydrate you: the Mayo Clinic recommends staying hydrated to ease nausea.

Suck on a mint candy or make some mint tea, either with a pre-made mint tea bag or by stewing three to four crushed mint leaves in hot water for 10 to 15 minutes. Mint is also an all-natural nausea remedy, and, according to the NCCAM, mint oil is not only an all-natural cure for nausea, but can help ease other stomach ailments, such as irritable bowel syndrome.

    • 4

Eat bland foods. Plain grain cereal such as oat O-shaped cereal, dry white toast and saltine crackers all absorb stomach acid, while also keeping you from starving and therefore aggravating your already upset stomach.

    • 5

Try acupressure wrist bands. These are sold under a variety of brand names and can be found at almost any drug store.

    • 6

Taking extra vitamin B-6 may help. Ask your doctor how much to take. According to the Babycenter.com, taking too much Vitamin B if you are pregnant may cause nerve damage in you and may harm your baby.
