Things You'll Need:
- USB cord

Step 1
Format the video into the proper PSP video format. PSPs only support files with a .mp4 extension. This mean that each video needs to be converted into this format in order to be played on the PSP. You can purchase a video converter program, or you can download one of the many free PSP video converters available on the Internet. The "Xilisoft" and "PSP Video 9" websites both offer free, quality PSP converters.

Step 2
Plug one end of the USB cord into the top of the PSP and insert the opposite end into the USB slot in your computer. Press the "Left Arrow" key on the PSP desktop until "Settings" is highlighted. Scroll down through the "Settings" menu and click the "USB Connection" icon.
-
Step 3
Wait for the PSP window to load on your computer's desktop. Click the option to "View All Files and Folders." Double-click the "Video" folder in the new window that opens. Drag all of the video files you want to play on your PSP into this folder and exit out of the window.

Step 4
Safely disconnect the PSP from your computer. To do this, right-click the green arrow icon in your computer's desktop tray, located at the bottom right corner of your computer's screen. Select the option to "Stop" and then click "Sony PSP." When the message appears that says "It is now safe to remove the external device," you can disconnect the PSP from your computer.
