How to Connect to a Remote Database

With the Filemaker Pro application, which is available for both PC and Mac computers, users can connect to remote databases that are hosted on a central server in a home or office. Multiple users can edit the same database simultaneously, but each individual must have a separate account for the shared file. In order to connect to a remote database, you must know the hostname or IP address of your Filemaker Pro server.
