    • 2

For the first row, knit one stitch, increase by yarn over and repeat pattern to the end. You will have 12 stitches.

    • 3

Knit three rows in the round.

    • 4

For the next row, knit one stitch, increase by yarn over and repeat to the end of the row. You should have 24 stitches.

    • 5

Knit four rows of stitches. Purl one row.

    • 6

For the next row, increase by yarn over and knit two stitches together. Repeat this pattern until the end of the row.

    • 7

For the next row, knit two stitches together, increase by yarn over and repeat to the end of the row.

    • 8

Repeat these two rows until the holder is the desired length. Bind off.

    • 9

Cast on four stitches on one double pointed needle. Knit across. Instead of turning the work, slide the stitches to the other end of the needle and knit. You will create a small tube or i-cord. Continue working this way until you have the length you want to suspend the plant hanger. Bind off.

      Make five more i-cords.

    • 10

Twist two i-cords together and sew to the top of the plant holder. Repeat with other four i-cords, spacing them evenly along the rim of the plant holder. Sew i-cords together at the top.
