Instructions

    • 1

Move your vehicle into a shaded area. Wipe the affected area with a soft cloth to remove any residual dust.

    • 2

Spray on enough gum remover to completely freeze the gum; it needs to be frozen hard enough to crack when you apply pressure to it with the razor blade.

    • 3

Gently lift the edge of the gum with the plastic razor, sliding it slowly beneath the wad as far as you can without breaking it. Lift up on it slowly with the razor, gently breaking the seal on the car.

    • 4

Re-apply the gum remover if any gum remains on the vehicle and repeat Step 3, using light scraping motions with the razor on thinner residue.

    • 5

Spray the area with a quick-detailer and wipe with a soft cloth in order to remove any spot residue.

Tips & Warnings

  • Purchase the gum remover at a janitorial supply company or an auto detail shop. Most automobile parts or supply stores will not carry it.

  • Commercial bug and tar removers may also work on the gum.

  • Be careful when using chemicals to remove the residue; they can affect the surface of the paint.
