A slow computer start-up can leave you stuck in the starting blocks.

Many software manufacturers set their products to run behind the scenes when a computer starts up. This makes it easier to access often-used programs as soon as you click their icons. However, more products running at start-up can slow the start-up process. To speed that process, you can prevent rarely used programs from running while your computer boots up.
