With the upcoming holiday season approaching quickly, the last thing you need to worry about is how to store all of your holiday food in your refrigerator.
Here are some tips and tricks that I use to make the most of the space in my fridge.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Time to organize food items
  1. Step 1

Try to make meals that won't have any leftovers and use up any that you may already have in the fridge.

  2. Step 2

Check labels of open jars and bottles to see if they must be refrigerated (many food items of this sort don't require refrigeration).

  3. Step 3

Use a picnic cooler and frozen ice packs to store condiments, sauces and things of the sort that won't be being used daily.

  4. Step 4

Pack prepared stuffing and other make-ahead, non fragile foods in zip lock baggies. Be sure to squeeze out all of the air and seal a press food flat so that it may be stacked.

  5. Step 5

Top food dishes with cookie sheets so that you can place more on top.

  6. Step 6

Store pies and other fragile foods in the vegetable crisper or meat drawer to keep them safe.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you live in a cold climate, store well-wrapped or tightly covered food items in a covered bbq grill on the porch.
  • Always make sure that perishable foods are kept at 41 degrees or lower!
