Step 1
Photo/flickr-armonroeWash your hands insessantly. Wash with hot water, use soap, and be diligent about it! According to Dr. Richard Schulze's Swine Flu Update Video, the swine flu virus can live on any surface for up to eight hours, so the best way to protect yourself from everything you are touching is to wash frequently, and use germ lotion when you can't wash.
-
Step 2
Drink bottled water, pure water, filtered water, distilled water, or water that has been treated by reverse osmosis. Lots of diseases are carried by way of tap water, and the less tap water you drink, the better.
-
Step 3
Keep your fingers away from your eyes, nose, and mouth. Again, the swine flu virus can live on any surface for eight hours or longer, and the easiest way to transfer the virus to your body is by way of contact with your mouth, nose, and eyes.
If you need to touch your eyes, nose or mouth, wash your hands with soap and hot water before and after. -
Step 4
Photo/flickr-griegatlantaStay away from sick people! The swine flu is an airborne virus that can be transmitted as far away as eight feet. if anyone near you looks ill, is sneezing, coughing, etc, get away from them.
-
Step 5
Photo/flickr-paulorodriquezUKBe really careful in restaurants! Unfortunately, sick people go to work, even in restaurants. They can be coughing and sneezing into your food, and contaminating dishes, drinking glasses, and silverware.
-
Step 6
Start eating healthier, and stop eating junk food. To ward of the flu, your immune system needs to be in tip-top shape. The body needs nutrients to build immune cells, and junk food will not suffice.
-
Step 7
You should also do internal cleansing programs, such as a bowel cleanse, a kidney flush, a detox program, etc, because this will give your immune system a break, and boost your resistance.
-
Step 8
Exercise! The movement increases flexibility, stretching your body, and increasing the strength of your immune system!
-
Step 9
Reduce stress. Staying emotionally healthy is critical for boosting your immune system.
-
Step 10
Get plenty of rest! 7-10 hours of sleep per night are optimum, and will reduce stress and improve immune system, helping your body to resist the virus.
-
Step 11
Bonus: Eat raw garlic! 3-4 cloves per day, mixed into your salad, eaten with apple (to reduce burning sensation), or crushed. Garlic is a proven anti-viral, and has even been used to treat MRSA infections in hospital patients.

on 11/6/2009 This is great! Thanks! I have decided not to get the H1N1 shots for my kids, as I think the risk for a potential permanent long term effect is greater than the risk of them getting the flu..
