There are a lot of weak women in the United States. They don't take control of their lives. Instead of being the wives/girlfriend or love interest in a man's life they become the man's property. You can see them sitting down talking to various talk show hosts like Oprah Winfrey, Tyra Banks, Jerry Springer, Steve Wilkos and Maury Povich. This eHow article will list steps on how to be a strong woman in the United States. It will list steps on how to gain success in projecting a positive image deserving of respect from everybody.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

The first thing you want to do is be independent. A strong woman has to be able to take care of herself, financially.

  2. Step 2

The second thing you want to do is define for yourself what your needs are in a relationship and in your life. A strong woman knows what she wants.

  3. Step 3

The third thing you want to do is maintain your relationships with friends and family. You've probably heard the saying that every good man has a good woman behind him. Well, that can be extended here as well. A strong woman can draw strength from a strong supporting network of friends and family. If your relationship is pulling you away from everybody you use to like and love it might not be right. It's going to give your strength and power to another and not to you. It will probably leave you weaker and not stronger.

  4. Step 4

The fourth thing you want to do is read the book, "The Men That Stole My Soul," by Kelichia. This book is an autobiography of a strong woman who triumphs over much hardship in her life, including abusive relationships and being a young single mother. It will give much inspiration and light a fire inside of you to take control of your life. It will help to create the fiercely, strong and confident woman inside of you.

Tips & Warnings
  • I have no relationship with Kelichia, author of, "The Men that Stole My Soul." I am just a fan of the book.
