You can use peroxide for more then just a boo-boo.

When it comes to our family's health, we obviously want the best care for them, right? Bleach is one of the most popular products that are used in our homes, today. However, bleach is very harmful and even deadly.

Some may wonder why others are making a big deal about something that has been used in home for years. I mean our family has used it for generations.

The problem with sticking to the same family tradition for years on end is not knowing for your self or not knowing the truth about something as simple as a common household product, such as bleach.

Things You'll Need:

  • peroxide
  1. Step 1

Did you know that instead of using bleach on counters and cutting boards, you can spray 50/50 of water and peroxide solution on them? This will not only clean the surfaces, it will kill any salmonella or other bacteria. Go ahead and clean the entire kitchen with peroxide.

  2. Step 2

Do you have a septic tank in your home? Did you know that using bleach in water is not healthy? Not only is peroxide better for your septic tank, it is safer for your family's drinking water.

Have you ever tasted a bleach aftertaste on your dishes when you run them through the dishwasher? This is caused by the expensive dishwasher soap that you buy. Use peroxide instead. Why not, it is so much cheaper and safer. Personally, I really never liked using a dishwasher for this very reason. It seems all dishwasher products have bleach in them.

  3. Step 3

I have two boys who like to play rough. They go through socks and underwear like nothing else. It is almost impossible to keep the clothes white without bleach. That was until I found a peroxide alternative. You can use peroxide directly on any stain such as blood, wine and red clay.

  4. Step 4

There is an old wives tale about using newspapers to clean your mirrors and windows. Guess what, it works better than any paper towel. Not only that, you can use peroxide as a safer alternative to Windex or any other window cleaning product. Throw that bottle of bleach away and find a safer alternative in simple peroxide.
