How to Start Blogging Professionally

When you think of blogging, you might think about little personal websites where people like to hang out and talk about their lives. Like personal journals. Professional blogging is a bit different than that, it's about making money. If you enjoy blogging, and you enjoy money, this might be just the thing for you!

1. First, you'll have to pick a topic that interests you. The more obscure and the more niche, likely the better (as long as it can be placed into a findable and more generic topic). A topic with high paying ads is preferable, but extremely competitive, and there are other ways to make money from a blog.

2. Write interesting content and place it into the blog. Build a following the best you can, the more viewers, the better. Keep up with updating your blog frequently and it will rank better in Google (once a day or a couple times a week).

3. Look around for potential advertisers and start contacting them once your blog has a following. Just show them your traffic statistics and see if you can persuade them to pay to place an ad on your blog. Until then, you might consider placing Adsense ads on your blog to make a little money while you build it up. You might also see who advertises in your Adsense ads and see if you can cut a deal.

4. Lastly, use your great influence to review products and services and place affiliate links. Simply become an affiliate for sites like Amazon or ClickBank and drive traffic to them.
