Salmon fillets and salmon steaks are among the most delicious main dishes you can serve. They are appropriate to serve at a barbecue, family dinner, holiday dinner and more. Salmon tastes excellent and is especially good when grilled. When possible, choose wild salmon over farmed. Wild salmon is higher in protein and lower in fat. Farmed fish are often fed antibiotics and must eat a dye so the flesh will turn pink. Does this Spark an idea?

  • Olive oil or mayonnaise
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

      Heat the grill to 325 F.

      Brush a light coat of mayonnaise or olive oil onto each side of the salmon to prevent it from sticking to the grill. Once the pieces are coated, lay them on the warmest part of the grill.

      Turn the salmon after 4 to 6 minutes and cook an additional 4 minutes. Sprinkle on salt and pepper and any other desired seasonings. Serve warm.
