Hawaiian Hamburgers with onions and pineapple
Hawaiian Hamburgers with onions and pineapple

Want a tase of the islands? I live on Oahu and have been introduced to Hawaiian hamburgers with pineapple! Sounds crazy at first. However, one bite of this juicy goodness of a burger and you will be hooked! While it may seem odd topping a hamburger with pineapple, it is definitely fun seeing people try it for the first time. But, be careful! They're so juicy and messy! But, you will feel like you're in Hawaii and your guests (or kids) will think you're the best chef ever!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • hamburger
  • hamburger buns
  • a grill
  • onions
  • fresh or canned pineapple slices
  • Swiss cheese if you wish
  1. Step 1

Prepare hamburger into patties and season as you like it.

  2. Step 2

Grill burgers to taste, as you normally would.

  3. Step 3

Lightly grill pineapple slices until you can see grill marks ..carefully remove them from the grill, they will be tender!

  4. Step 4

Take the burger, a slice of pineapple, a slice of onion, put it on a bun.

  5. Step 5

Sit back, take a bite and enjoy your little slice of paradise! Goes great with a refreshing beverage like lemonade or beer! Great for entertaining at a bbq!
