Things You'll Need:
- 2 luxury bath towels
- Sewing machine
- Grommet kit
- Tape measurer
- Shower curtain bar
-
Step 1
Take two terry-cloth bath towels that equal the length of a normal designer shower curtain (70-72 inches wide by 72-74 inches long). You can buy new towels or even use the ones that you already have.
-
Step 2
Use white towels to give a clean look to your bathroom. Use colored or even patterned towels for your shower curtain to give some character to your bathroom.
-
Step 3
Overlap the edges of the bath towels and sew them together. Stitch down the finished edges of the towels until they are securely sewn together all the way down.
-
Step 4
Use a grommet kit, which can be found at most fabric stores to add the grommets near the top of the designer shower curtain.
-
Step 5
Determine the correct spacing of the grommet holes by measuring the full width of the shower curtain and subtract 4 inches to leave 2 inches free at each side. Divide that number by 12, which is the common number of holes in a designer shower curtain.
-
Step 6
Hang the designer shower curtain along with a shower liner from the curtain bar so that the seam is inside the shower. Adjust the height of the bar if needed.
