How to Create a Free Playlist for MySpace

Second only to Facebook, the most popular social networking service on the Internet is MySpace. Millions of people have MySpace profile pages detailing every last detail of their lives, ranging from which movies they like to what they ate for breakfast. One of the ways to make your profile stand out above the rest is to add a playlist of your favorite songs. You can do this for free not through MySpace itself, but through a number of other services designed expressly for this purpose.

Instructions

    • 1

Sign up for an account at a site that allows users to add a playlist to their MySpace profile. Two examples of sites that offer these services are MixPod and Hypster.

    • 2

Use the search engine on your account page of the service you have signed up for to search for songs you want to add to your playlist and then add them. When you have added all the songs you want, copy the HTML code of your playlist to your computer's clipboard by highlighting it, right clicking on it and selecting "Copy."

    • 3

Log on to your MySpace profile.

    • 4

Select the option on your main page that says "Edit."

    • 5

Paste the HTML code of your playlist into any of the content boxes on your MySpace profile. When finished, click "Save" to save your changes.

    • 6

Refresh your page. When your page fully loads your new playlist will be displayed and the first song on the list will automatically begin to play.

    • 7

Add or remove songs from your new playlist by accessing the original site through which you set it up. You cannot make these changes through MySpace. The bright side is that you don't have to change the HTML code of the playlist anymore because once you make changes through the playlist's main site they will automatically change on your MySpace profile.
