How to Make Baby Shower Rattle Favors
Throwing a baby shower takes a lot of thought and planning. You want to have a special party that the new mom will not forget. Consider a "Shake, Rattle and Roll" party. Things You'll Need
- 3 tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 bag of marshmallows, 10-oz.
- 6 cups Rice Krispies
- Popsicle sticks
- Pink, blue or green permanent marker
- Plastic wrap
- Colored ribbon

Rice Krispies Rattles

In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.

Add the marshmallows to the butter, and stir until they are completely melted.

Add the Rice Krispies to the butter and marshmallows and be sure they are coated in the mixture.

Roll the rice Krispies into balls (about the size of a golf ball) and let them set. These will be the tops of the rattles.

Depending on the gender of the baby, use the colored permanent marker to write, "It's a ___" on the Popsicle sticks. If you do not know the gender, you can write, "It's a Surprise." These will be the handles for the rattles.

Stick the Popsicles into the Rice Krispies balls. Wrap the top of the rattles with plastic wrap and tie with a colored ribbon.
Rattle Cookies

Make sugar or peanut butter cookies.

Use a cookie cutter shaped like a rattle and cut the cookies.

Bake the cookies and let them cool completely.

Decorate the rattles with colored icing. Wrap them in plastic wrap and tie a ribbon.
