How to Get Water Out of Ears After Swimming
Having an ear full of water is an uncomfortable and annoying condition that often results from swimming. Many people find that getting water out of their ears is nearly impossible and simply put up with the discomfort and wait for it the water to dry up on its own. There is no need to wait days for the water to dry or make an emergency visit to your doctor; water is actually easily and safely removed from your ears at home using simple methods and products that most people already have.

Dry your ear with a clean towel, then tilt your neck so the affected ear is facing the ground.

Grasp your earlobe firmly, and pull downward. You should feel the water slide out of your ear canal, providing instant relief. Dry any excess water from around your ear with a towel. If there is still water in your ear, try using rubbing alcohol to help get rid of it.

Draw a small amount of rubbing alcohol into an eye dropper.

Lie on your side with the affected ear facing up.

Use the eye dropper to place two to three drops of rubbing alcohol into the affected ear. Remain on your side for about 10 minutes to allow the rubbing alcohol to dry out any remaining water.

Tips & Warnings
Do not insert cotton swabs in the ear canal in attempt to absorb excess water. Inserting anything into the ear canal can cause serious damage.
