How to Plant Seeds in a Sponge
Starting seeds on a sponge is one of the easiest ways to begin seeds indoors as you wait for the danger of frost to pass. Since sponge gardening does not require soil, it's also one of the cleanest ways to get an early start on a garden. Indoor sponge gardening is also a wonderful way to allow kids to experience, hands-on, the process of nature in how seeds sprout and grow. Does this Spark an idea?

Tips & Warnings
When transplanting, plants can be removed from the sponges by gently pulling them out or by cutting the sponge with a small pair of scissors to keep the plant and sponge intact.
In the event you decide to cut the sponges to transplant the plant and the sponge, consider using all-natural, vegetable sponges.
