1
Melted crayon is easier to remove once it has hardened. Hold an ice cube over the melted crayon until the wax hardens.
-
2
Once the wax is stiff, use a blunt knife or the edge of a spoon to scrape off as much of the wax as you can from the seat or carpet.
-
-
3
Rub a stiff-bristled cleaning brush over the area briskly to remove any residual wax.
-
4
Apply a small amount of WD-40 to the area, allowing it to penetrate. Let it stand for 5 to 10 minutes. WD-40 is best known as a lubricant, but it also contains chemicals that help break down wax and remove grease. After the WD-40 has penetrated the area, rub gently with a soft cloth or paper towel.

5
Finish by applying a small amount of dishwashing detergent to a wet soft cloth or sponge, and rub it into the area using a circular motion. Blot dry with a clean soft cloth or paper towel.

Tips & Warnings
Place a paper towel below the area you are cleaning and allow the scraped-off residue to fall onto it for easier clean up.
If the area still shows a grease stain after drying, repeat Steps 4 and 5 as needed.
