How to Restore Cleared Search History
Restoring cleared search history requires restoring your computer's operating system. An operating system restoration allows you to restore the computer to an earlier state. The full restoration process can be conducted in approximately three to five minutes. Tips & Warnings
The date you choose should be on or before the date of the search history items you are trying to restore. If the dates do not correlate to the time of the search history activity, there will be no way of restoring the cleared items.
Avoid losing your work. Save any opened files and close all other open programs and applications before running the "System Restore" process. Once the process is complete, the computer will restart automatically, therefore, any files open will be permanently lost if they are not saved.
Time Machine is only preinstalled in Leopard, Mac's most current operating system. If you are using any other version of a Mac operating system, you may need to download Time Machine to restore on your computer.
Be advised that you will need an external hard drive to run Time Machine on a Mac. This is the restoration application that can be used, but the restoration is not guaranteed if Time Machine was not set up and configured prior to the clearance of the search history.
