1
Wash the feet every day with an antibacterial soap. The soap will clean the foot and remove any bacterial that can grow on the foot when it sweats. Sometimes, you may need to wash the feet a few times a day depending on your lifestyle and amount of activity.

2
Dry the feet completely and allow to air dry before putting on socks and shoes. The foot should be as dry as possible to prevent bacteria from growing in the shoe.

Shoes that continue to smell can be coated with some baby powder. Sprinkle in a small amount of baby powder and move it around in the shoe. If your shoe does not allow adding baby powder, rub the baby powder on a dry foot.

4
Wear absorbent cotton socks. White socks are preferred, but black socks will work. The sock will allow the foot to breathe and help eliminate sweat in the shoe.

5
Clean the inside of the shoes to keep the odor down. Wear leather shoes if possible as they allow the feet to breathe. Use a odor spray inside the shoe when you take them off and hours before you will wear them again. Multiple pairs of shoes are recommended so you can switch shoes so they can dry from the sweat.
