Things You'll Need:
- Watering can or pitcher
-
Step 1
Plant geraniums in an area with good water drainage so that they will not sit in standing water when it rains.
-
Step 2
Water your geraniums with about 1 oz. of water per plant once a week, unless you are getting more than .5 inches of rain a week. According to the geranium experts at Hobbs Farm Greenery, geraniums are drought resistant and can go a long time with little water.
-
Step 3
Avoid over-watering your geraniums, as this can cause root rot and other problems. If you have over-watered geraniums, remove them from the wet soil and allow the roots to dry out in the sun or in a cool, dry space in your house until the roots no longer feel moist.
