How to Diagnose Uterine Cancer
If your doctor suspects that you exhibit any of the warning signs of uterine cancer, there are a series of diagnostic tests that will need to be performed to determine if you may be affected.

Receive a pelvic exam. A pelvic exam allows the doctor to feel around the cervix, uterus, ovaries, bladder and rectum to feel for any abnormalities that may be present.

Receive a pap test. The doctor will use a pap smear test to obtain cells from the cervical wall and upper vagina to reveal if there are any abnormalities. While this does not test for uterine cancer, any abnormalities in the pap smear will reveal if cancer is a possibility.

Receive an endometrial biopsy. An endometrial biopsy takes sample cells from the uterine lining and will allow doctors to examine the cells for the presence of cancerous growths.

Receive a transvaginal ultrasound. A transvaginal ultrasound produces images of the uterine lining to see if there are any visible tumors or growths in the area and if there are any other abnormalities.
