How to Chat on MySpace

Sending messages back-and-forth with your MySpace friends can get tiresome. If you want instant communication, you'll need to take advantage of the MySpace Chat feature, also called MySpace IM. The feature allows users to have conversations with your friends conveniently.

Things You'll Need

• Internet access
• MySpace.com account

Instructions

1. Visit MySpace.com, and sign into your account. Scroll over the "Profile" tab and choose "Edit Profile."

2. Click on "Account Settings." Once you are at the Settings menu, click on "IM" to access your chat settings.

3. Select the check box to enable MySpace IM. The chat feature will be visible from your profile homepage.

4. Click on "Online Friends" at the bottom-right portion of the screen. Choose the friend you want to chat with.

Tips & Warnings

• You can also use the MySpace IM feature when you are not on your MySpace profile page. To download the MySpace Chat feature, visit www.myspace.com/aplaceforim.
