Things You'll Need
- Wallpaper-removing solution
- Wallpaper scouring tool
- Spray bottle (optional)
- Paint spatula or plastic scraper
- Sponge

Prepare your solution of wallpaper-removing solution, if using a concentrate. Put the solution in a clean, empty spray bottle or a garden sprayer.

Scour the wallpaper with the wallpaper scouring tool. Work the scouring tool in a circular fashion. The more your scour the wall, the more effective the solution will be in loosening the glue. Do not press too hard; you don't want to damage the drywall.

Spray the wallpaper solution on the walls liberally. Wait between 20 and 30 minutes for the solution to soak.

Begin removing the wallpaper. It's best to work in small sections, starting at the bottom. Use the plastic scraper or paint spatula to scrape the wallpaper off. This is a chore; it's not difficult, but it takes patience.

Clean the wall thoroughly to remove the glue residue. No matter how good your wallpaper solution is, you will likely have glue residue left on the walls. Use a sponge with warm water to get it off.
