How to Convert Video Files to MTV
MTV is a video file format that is used in some media players--mostly inexpensive players from China. Most of these media players cannot support videos in other formats, such as MP4 or AVI. You have to convert video files of other formats to MTV format before you can upload them to these types of players. You can accomplish this quickly and easily using an MTV video converter.

Download a video conversion program such as "MTV Video Converter" (see Resources). This program is able to convert videos of different formats such as MP4, AVI and WMV to MTV format.

Launch the program once the installation is complete and click the "Add" button on the main menu. Locate your input video file from your computer and click "Open" to load it to the conversion program.

Select "*.mtv" format in the "Profile" window and click the "Settings" button. Select the video resolution, size and quality settings. Select the audio quality settings and select the channel playback. Click "OK" to save the changes.

Click the "Open" button next to the "Output Path" window and select the destination folder to save the video to when the conversion process is complete.

Click "Convert." A status bar shows the progress of the conversion process. The file is in MTV format when the conversion process completes.
